My 7 year old Inspiron has been in bits since 2005. I still managed to use it at work for a full year but I got fed up getting cut by bits of sharp metal hanging out of the bottom (some panel was missing), having to repeatedly bang the laptop hard to get the screen to stop flickering, having to tape the power cord back together, having a few missing keys, no sound out of speakers (only headphones) no trackpad or mouse thingy. Was a great laptop in its heyday though.

Don't know @CiaranR - I assumed that was for when someone sends you a private message only. Have enabled that now anyway to see.

There's no way I could keep up with SMS alerts. I'm a bit of an obsessive compulsive when it comes to unread emails or text messages - I cannot rest while I still have an unread email (even in the Junk folder). I have notify=off and check everything through the web. I would like to be able to set it so that any message with @jgalvin in it goes through to my phone, but that doesn't seem to be an option.

Heh, the Kingsley of course, Cork is hugely impressive. As for the price... depends who it is targeted at. If it is targeted at bloggers, then yes, it is expensive. If, on the other hand, it is targeted at "bloggers" then it is pretty cheap really. Excluding Mashup Camp, it is cheaper than any conference I've been to in the past 2 years.
